Ye Old Halloween Costume Shoppe
how do i make a homemade halloween vampire costume??
i want to make a costume of a vampire for halloween and i cant find a good one
You can go to walmart and buy fake fangs (the ones that don't cover the whole mouth, which are a little more expensive) and some white face powder. Also, buy some black and blue eyeshadow and highlight your upper lids near the brows and use as lot of eyeliner. Vampires usually wear a old gothic looking choker. I made mine out of black felt with a black jewl in the middle and chain rings on the side. Finish with a button in the back. You will also need a corset of red or black that ties and a black full cape. Vampires also like to wear boots and long nails (man or woman) Hope this helps

Pet Owner: What is the best costume you ever dressed your pet in?
What kind of pet and what was the costume?
I notice you put this in the reptile section…
I have a snake, but a snake is not really an animal that lends it's self well to fancy dress.
About the most exciting thing I have ever done to a pet was to tie a bandanna round the head of our old family dog and pretend (we/he) were ninjas - that was quite a while ago though.

What Is the culture of Halloween Masks?
I wanted to know why we wear them and how they came about.
Dressing up on Halloween is a tradition that goes way, way back to ancient Celtic cutlures in Britain and Ireland. The Celts celebrated Samhain during the first week of November. They believed that during Samhain, spirits of the dead freely walked among the living. Scary masks were used to frighten away evil or bad-intentioned spirits.
Over many centuries, that ancient pagan Holiday got absorbed into the Catholic holiday All Saints Day. The people of Britain kept their pagan traditions, but instead of celebrating Samhain they were celebrating All Hallows Eve (Hallowe'en).
When Irish and British immigrants came to the united states in the 18th and 19th centuries, they brought their Halloween traditions with them. The celebration became popular and eventually became the Halloween we know today, with masks and candy and scary movies and jack-o-lanterns and all that.

What is so intimidating about a bunch of people dressing up in Halloween costumes?
I’m trying to figure out the mystique of the famous “Black Hole”, where a bunch of lowlifes dress up in Halloween costumes and root on the hapless Raiders. Don’t opposing teams just laugh when they come into town and open up yet another can of whoop you know what on the Raidiz?
The funniest part is, many of them are more "weekend warrior" or "wine and cheese" than "gangsta."
These are the same professional types that try to pretend they are bikers by buying the most expensive Harley they can try not to crash.
I guess costume parties are fun, but I wouldn't want to get dressed up for a beat down.

Where do you get children’s halloween masks?
I would prefer inexpensive and scary.
MOst kids' costumes don't have masks these days. People complained that masks cause a safety issue because they block vision when kids are running around at night trick or treating. The masks are very hot for the kids to wear, too. They are uncomfortable and the kids usually take them off.
Most discount stores (K-Mart, Wallmart, Target, dollar stores) carry halloween costumes. Forget the mask. Use make up if the costume needs some enhancement.
